Some things to keep in mind
In order to become a seller on CardRocket, we need to confirm your identity. This is for the safety of both buyers and sellers on the platform in order to reduce fraud. All the personal information we collect is sent securely to our payment processor, Stripe.
Things we need
- Your legal name
- Your address
- Your date of birth
- The last 4 digits of your social security number
In most cases, this information will be enough to get your started. If there's a problem (maybe you originally had a typo in your information), we'll send you an email asking you to re-verify your data.
In rare circumstances, Stripe won't be able to verify your identity with the information you provided and will ask for your full social security number.
If you end up selling enough on CardRocket, Stripe will require us to ask for your full social security number. This info is needed mainly for tax reasons (Stripe will send you tax forms for your income). We'll send you an email about this too. Failure to submit this information will result in suspension of your seller status.
